Dear Harmony,
Remember when you broke your leg on Davison's Point? I carried you the whole way to the parking lot and drove you to the urgent care. You were so upset and kept apologizing. Nothing I said would console you, nor convince you otherwise. You felt terrible that we had to cancel our ski trip because of your broken leg. I didn't mind; I still got to see you every day and take care of you. It was like a small taste of what the future held.
At least, what I had hoped the future held.
You shattered that hope, just like your patella and tibia.
I almost wish your leg had never healed so you wouldn't have been able to leave.
