Tonight I lived a thousand lives
Different places, different times
And you
You were my tour guide
The two of us had roles assigned.

In Egypt I became 
A mummy
And you were a tomb raider.
You uncovered me
Took my gold
And left me to my sarcophagus 
Lifeless
In a hole.
Now, all I foresee
Are scarab beetles feeding off my body.

Different faces, different eyes

Taking us to incredible highs.

In the Atlantic you were
The water
And I was the boat.
Tossed about in your waves
In the center of your ocean 
A raging storm
My heart became a shipwreck
Beached on a lonely
Shore. 
Separated 
From the water—
But it was by your,
Not my accord.

In different places and different times
Tonight I lived a thousand lives
With a thing of beauty as my guide
But like the flowers
This beauty
